Lucy Liu was born in New York, she has one brother, Alex Liu, which she was born and raised with him, her parents are Taiwanese immigrants. When Lucy Liu was still a child she didn’t have a stable life, where she had to move to different places all the time, also when she was a child her English was not that much good because both of her parents talked Mandarin, till she reached the age of five where she went to school and started learning the language.

When Lucy Liu’s parents were still in Taiwan he father worked as a civil Engineer and her mom was a Biochemist, this life that they had in Taiwan was sacrificed because they chose the life in the United States, where Lucy Liu was born. When she started going to school her parents insisted on her to study more than needed even at her spare time, during the middle school period Lucy Liu attended the Joseph Pulitzer Middle Scool, then at high school she went to the Stuyvesant High School which was really prestigious and graduated from there, when it was time for the University she attended the University of Michigan, where she studied Asian Languages and Cultures and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
